In a statement, the press office of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of Uzbekistan, announced that apart from the privatization of projects in the country, the World Bank is also assisting in the construction of the Afghan-Trans railway.

According to the statement, the President of Uzbekistan had a discussion with “Aya Banga”, the President of the World Bank, in New York about privatizing projects, effective governance, private sector investment, and the World Bank’s assistance in implementing projects, including the construction of the Afghan-Trans railway.
